Latto Fuels Ice Spice Beef With ‘Sunday Service’ Cover Art Leave a comment

Latto has added fuel to her beef with Ice Spice with the cover art for her forthcoming single “Sunday Service.”

The artwork for the track, which was shared on Monday (February 5), features the “Big Energy” rapper in front of a wall of female rappers. Each person on the cover, including Latto herself, has their eyes crossed out by a black line.

Notably, Ice Spice is featured prominently in the top left corner. Other stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, Sexyy Red and GloRilla are also included, so the meaning behind the cover remains fairly vague.

In the second slide of Latto’s Instagram post, a caravan of cars rolls through the Bronx — Ice Spice’s hometown — and the Atlanta native can be seen rapping along to her forthcoming single.

Fans noticed Latto’s arrival in the BX earlier this month, with her decision to shoot the visual in the NYC borough perceived by some as a slight against the “Munch” hitmaker.

Ice Spice recently confirmed that her latest single “Think U The Shit (Fart)” was aimed at Latto, confirming listeners’ suspicions.

On the track, she rapped: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up,” which appeared to be a thinly-veiled reference to Latto’s hit song “Put It On Da Floor.”

Spice revealed on X Spaces last week that the song was in response to her music video appearing in the background of a recent Latto song snippet where she rapped: “I just want a one-on-one, don’t know why she so nervous.”

“Seeing that I’m in the back of your weak-ass snippet,” Ice said. “So I was like, ‘Wait a second — that’s me?’ So I’m like, ‘Okay, since we’re talking about me, let’s talk about me,’ and I dropped that.

“I was like, ‘This has to be fake — this is AI,’ but bitches be bold, so I was like, ‘Alright, we’re being bold today.’”

The pair have traded more subliminal shots over the last year, with their feud appearing to stem from copycat accusations levied against Latto after she was seen striking a pose similar to Ice Spice’s signature bent-over move.
