Renault has introduced the Master E-Tech electric van, which is scheduled to be available in Europe in spring of this year.
The vehicle is offered with a choice of two motor/battery pack combinations. One variant sports a 96 kW motor, a 40 kWh battery pack and a WLTP range of approximately 180 km. The other option boasts a 105 kW motor, an 87 kWh battery pack and a range of around 410 km. Both options deliver 300 Nm of torque.
Renault says the optimized platform and the vehicle’s Aerovan aerodynamic design help to reduce power consumption by more than 27% compared to the current generation E-Tech.
The Master E-Tech has a payload capacity of 1,625 kg and a towing capacity of 2.75 tons. It features dynamic braking and V2L and V2G capabilities.
“Renault optimized the van’s range by tackling it from two angles: the Aerovan concept and the multi-energy platform—encompassing the main motor, dynamic braking system and battery heat management system,” the company said.
