Appearing on YG’s new 4HUNNID Podcast, the New Orleans native played a game called “Keep It 4HUNNID.” During the segment, he was asked a series of questions like his favorite female rappers, the best time of day to have a studio session and his dream job if he weren’t a rapper.

Weezy was also was asked to choose between JAY-Z and The Notorious B.I.G., to which he simply replied: “Hov still here.”

YG’s co-host followed up by inquiring whether Wayne has a favorite Hov verse.

“My favorite verse from Hov is from a song called ‘Lucky Me.’ It was from In My Lifetime, Vol. 1,” he answered with little hesitation.

Lil Wayne famously recited rhymes from JAY-Z’s “Lucky Me” on their collaboration “Mr. Carter” from 2008’s Tha Carter III.

“And I swear to everything, when I leave this Earth/ It’s gonna be on both feet, never knees in the dirt/ And you can try me, fucker, but when I squeeze, it hurt/ Fine, we’ll lose two lives; yours and mine/ Give me any amount of time, don’t let Ms. Carter grieve/ At the funeral parlor, drippin’ tears down my sleeve/ Give me any amount of time, don’t let Ms. Carter grieve,” he rapped at the end of the song as an homage to his namesake.

Wayne previously spoke about his love for Jigga’s 1997 album in a 2020 interview with Rolling Stone, revealing he has lyrics from the record tattooed on him.

“It was the first album where I actually had the car that the rapper was talking about,” he said. “And also, Jay was talking so crazy on there, he went bananas on that album. I got lyrics from that album tattooed on me. That album stuck with me for real, for real.”

Elsewhere during his interview on YG’s podcast, Lil Wayne revealed what it would take to make a Hot Boys reunion tour happen.

Addressing Birdman‘s previous hint about the tour, he said: “We’ve spoken about it a few times but, you know, they have situations. Like B.G. just coming home so he gotta figure out: can he tour? Can he travel? And things like that.

Juvie ready and Turk ready, but really we gotta see if Geezy can move around.”

When asked if that’s the “only piece” of the puzzle left to solve, Wayne replied: “Yeah.”

He added: “‘Cause everybody got their own thing. Everybody got their own record label, their own situation. Nobody ain’t tied down to nothing. So when we asked everybody, they were like, ‘Yeah, we can jump on whenever.’ We just gotta get Geezy right.”
