Nicki Minaj has teased a remix to Burna Boy’s seductive deep cut, “Tested, Approved & Trusted,” which appeared on his 2023 album I Told Them….

In a snippet teased through Instagram on Wednesday evening (February 7), Nicki played her new verse on the Burna Boy track from his Grammy-nominated album.

The subdued rework showcases the Pink Friday 2 rapper’s laidback entry after Burna Boy’s crooning hook, with Nicki fluctuating between legato and staccato, rapping with a flow akin to the swing of the song’s drums.

The remix would be the Trinidadian rapper’s first collaboration with the Afrofusion star.

The preview of this Barbie remix has arrived less than two weeks after her most recent single, “Big Foot.”

No longer focused on dissing Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj seems to be more at peace in her lyrical and sonic output, rapping with less aggression and more relaxing beats.

After trading diss tracks back and forth with the Houston superstar, Minaj has remained quiet ever since the HTown Hottie topped the chart with her clapback, “HISS.”

According to Chart Data, Megan and Barbie are the only two female rappers to have multiple No. 1 debuts on the Billboard Hot 100. Tina Snow achieved this accolade thanks to her diss towards the legacy rapper, which made the accomplishment even sweeter for Meg.

Megan Thee Stallion went on Instagram Live to celebrate on February 5 by taunting Nicki Minaj by drinking Hennessy out of a straw.

The move is a response to line in “Big Foot,” where the Queens rapper attempted to insult Megan rapping: “Your flow is such a bore/ Drinkin’ a bottle of Henny through a straw.”

Despite only debuting at No. 23 compared to Meg’s chart-topper, the Queen of Hip-Hop seems to be moving past her feud, as she recently announced the addition of Monica to her upcoming Pink Friday 2 World Tour.

The Atlanta singer will be performing with Nicki for 34 shows throughout North America, happy to finally be receiving her flowers after once claiming that she was R&B’s “most forgotten” star.
