4Batz Announces Debut EP After Signing To Drake’s OVO Sound Leave a comment

4Batz has announced his highly-anticipated debut EP U Made Me A St4r, just days after signing to Drake‘s OVO Sound label.

The Dallas-born singer shared the news in a new “From the Block Performance” — the viral series from the YouTube channel 4 Shooters Only that helped launch his career — of his most recent single “act iii: on god (she like).”

Before Batz and his crew sing along to the song, a message appears on screen that reveals details about his forthcoming project.

It reads: “U Made Me A St4r [asterisk] 4.5.24,” indicating the EP will be released on April 5.

The ski mask-clad singer is arguably the biggest breakout star of 2024 thanks to his viral hit “act ii: date @ 8,” which cracked the Billboard Hot 100 and has racked up almost 100 million streams on Spotify alone.

Earlier this month, the woozy song received a boost from Drake who jumped on the remix, before it was reported that 4Batz had joined the 6 God’s boutique label.

The OVO Sound deal is just for one EP, according to Billboard, so the newcomer may well choose to find a permanent home with one of the numerous major labels that were reportedly courting him.

Drake and 4Batz previously linked up in person at one of Drizzy’s performances on his It’s All a Blur — Big as the What Tour?, where they were seen dapping each other up and sharing a conversation during the show.

The rising star also counts Kanye West as a fan, with the Chicago rap icon calling him his favorite new artist in an interview last month.
