Cardi B brought in 2024 with some old and some new – previewing an unreleased track while also partying with her estranged husband, Offset.
Bardi hit the stage at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleau on Sunday night (December 31), streaming the performance as part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve broadcast. Following her set, the Bronx native’s DJ shared a snippet of a new song strictly for the club-goers in attendance that night.
In a fan-captured clip, Cardi can be seen energetically rapping along to the song from the side of the stage. “I said my opps linking up/ I’m like what? Give a fuck,” she spits on the track. “If you scared then just say that, hoe/ Enough is enough!”
Also on the night, despite being adamant they were still broken up and even cursing fans out over speculating to the contrary, Cardi was later spotted partying with Offset – who had previously been tapped to perform at the same event prior to their split.
You can check out the new music snippet as well as the estranged couple partying in the footage below:

Back in November, Cardi B hinted at the idea of dropping some new music before the year ended — so she kind of made good on her word.
“But I was thinking about, you know, being really quiet, being really private,” she said in a Twitter Space. “But I don’t know. Maybe I should just put a lil’ something something out before the year ends.”
She continued: “It depends, though, because…hmm. Would y’all mind if I just do, like, a video? […] I don’t really have nothing planned for, like, right now. I don’t know. I’ll think about it by the end of the day. I don’t know. I just feel like I gotta talk my shit a little bit. You know what I’m saying?”
While promoting her Megan Thee Stallion-assisted single “Bongos” in September, Cardi B addressed her long-awaited sophomore album and promised she’d put it out “soon.”
“You know what? I was indecisive but I was like, you know what? I should already start talking about the album because I’m going to be putting it out very soon,” she said on Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning. “But it’s like I have to watch it because I always feel like somebody watching me — it’s going to come out when it’s going to come out.”
When asked whether the disc would drop before the close of the year, prior to Christmas, the “Drip” rapper continued to play coy revealing: “I can say that; it’s not going to come out this year.”
In a separate interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Cardi revealed that while she has a date and title in mind she’s “keeping it under wraps.”
“I’m kinda still working but I have a date in mind,” she began. Before addressing whether Beyoncé previously sending her flowers on her birthday was any indication she’d be on the album.
“It’s not coming out on my birthday. Matter fact, I don’t want nothing coming out in the month of October. October is my month. I don’t want no shit related to work in October, okay,” she concluded.
Cardi B hasn’t released a full body of work since her debut LP in April 2018, Invasion of Privacy. Since then she’s released a handful of singles, including the chart-topping 2020 song with Megan Thee Stallion, “WAP.”
