Daimler Buses’ e-infrastructure subsidiary, Daimler Buses Solutions, will supply charging stations and charging management, including software and operating concept, for an e-bus depot in the Dutch city of The Hague.
The depot will be operated by public transport provider HTM Personenvervoer. Commissioning of the project is planned for the third quarter of 2024.
Daimler Buses will install 28 charging stations at the depot and another 13 at 3 other sites run by the operator, for a total of 122 charging points. Daimler Buses will deliver at least 95 Mercedes-Benz eCitaro models to HTM. Plans call for fast lanes at the depot for rapid 360 kW charging of buses during the day and 90 kW charging of up to 4 buses per charging station overnight.
Partners in the project include ABB E-mobility and Batenburg Techniek for e-infrastructure; and IVU Traffic Technologies for charging management software.
