Chris Brown may be forced to hand over some of his property and earnings to cover a debt that traces back to an investment he made in fast food.

Last year, City National Bank in Georgia filed a lawsuit against the singer in California and claimed that he has yet to pay back a loan he and a few others (including The-Dream) took out to purchase two Popeyes restaurants. Their plans never came to fruition and the tab remains unpaid.

On Sunday (March 3), BNN reported that a Los Angeles court has now ordered the R&B star to settle his $1,760,654.11 bill. Per documents obtained by the publication, Breezy has 30 days to respond to the judgement, or else he will have to give up his possessions as an alternative to not paying up.

“This court may order that a writ of execution or other enforcement may issue. Your wages, money, and property could be taken without further warning from the court,” the filing states. “If enforcement procedures have already been issued, the property levied on will not be distributed until 30 days after you are served with this notice.”

Since 2018, the bank has reportedly made several attempts at trying to collect the loan.

“As of February 17, 2023, Borrower and Guarantors owe $2,140,901.74 in unpaid principal and interest,” reads the lawsuit.

This is just the latest lawsuit that Chris Brown has had to negotiate as he is currently fighting a $71 million dog attack case filed by his former housekeepers.

Court documents revealed that the 34-year-old’s legal team asked the Los Angeles Superior Court to push back the trial date from September 2023 to December 2023.

Brown’s attorneys argued that the housekeeper who brought the suit against him “would not be harmed” by the date being pushed back.

What’s more, his team argued that the housekeeper who was bitten is still being treated for her injuries under her worker’s compensation claims, which means the team is unable to gather key evidence needed for them to proceed with the trial.

According to a report by PEOPLE, Patricia Avila is claiming that one of Brown’s two dogs attacked her sister, Maria, while the pair were tending to the his house back in 2020.

The dog in question — a Caucasian Ovcharka — allegedly growled at the plaintiff and “proceeded to viciously attack” her when she went into the backyard to empty the vacuum.
