Drake‘s A&R, Kevin Durant has elaborated on his role and responsibilities in regards to the making of the rapper’s latest album.

During the NBA All-Star Weekend media day, the Phoenix Suns star showed his unwavering support for Drake, emphasizing his readiness to discuss life whenever needed.

“I’m just there for him whenever Drake wants to talk about life, and he just gave me that title,” he shared, referring to his A&R credit on For All The Dogs.

In a quick follow-up, the NBA baller was asked when fans could expect him to drop an album. “I doubt I’ll have an album dropping. I just do it for fun,” he added with a laugh.

Meanwhile, inquiries about a potential album drop initially surfaced following Durant’s collaboration with Stalley on his latest single, “Scared Money.”

The 6 God and Durant have been close friends for years now. Drake has paid homage to him in various songs, like “Weston Road Flows,” where he raps: “Shout out to KD, we relate, we get the same attention / It’s rainin’ money, Oklahoma City Thunder.

While it appears the duo won’t be partnering on the music front, Drizzy recently joined forces with Yeat for a new track titled “As We Speak,” following their 2023 For All The Dogs collaboration “IDGAF.”

The new track was released on Saturday (February 17) and is part of an extended edition of his new album titled 2093, called 2093 (P2).
