Drake Calls Out Audience’s Lackluster Response To Lil Wayne’s Set Leave a comment

Drake was less than pleased by the audience’s tempered response to Lil Wayne’s first set as a co-headliner on the It’s All a Blur — Big As the What? Tour.

The show in Sunrise, FL on Saturday (March 23) marked Weezy’s first of six nights alongside Drizzy and J. Cole as the tour comes to an end. And the 6 God wasn’t happy with the crowd’s response to the Louisiana legend’s set.

While Wayne was performing, Drake came on stage to admonish the crowd.

“Naw, naw, naw, ‘cuz look,” he said while running to the stage. “These are my favorite moments in life right now. Ay, Florida. From the top of the mountain emerges the motherfucking greatest of all time. If y’all don’t make some fucking noise for my brother Lil Wayne!”

Weezy is set to headline five of the final six shows, with one more date in Sunrise before the artists hit New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Though it seems Drake has been having a blast on the It’s All A Blur Tour, he’s also been working like crazy.

Earlier this week, he presented the public with a measurement of his hard work.

Drizzy took to social media and gave his fans and followers a glimpse of how much sweat his torso accumulates over the course of one performance.

In a brief clip uploaded to his Instagram Stories, the Canadian superstar took off his t-shirt following a show on his current tour and proceeded to rinse all the moisture from it as he grinned from cheek to cheek.

The 6 God has been at the center of drama in the Hip Hop circuit since the release of Future and Metro Boomin‘s new album, We Don’t Trust You.

The new record includes a song called “Like That” with a surprise feature from Kendrick Lamar, on which the former TDE rapper takes a number of shots at the 37-year-old as well as J. Cole.

The verse in question kicks off with a mention of the pair’s blockbuster single “First Person Shooter” with accusations of “sneak dissin’” as he raps: “Yeah, get up with me/ Fuck sneak dissin’, first person shooter/ I hope they came with three switches.

K.Dot then directly addresses “the big three” (a term commonly used in reference to him, Drizzy and Cole being modern Hip Hop’s primary stakeholders), claiming he’s the only one atop the rap chain right now.
