Detroit, MI –

Eminem has playfully taken credit for the Detroit Lions’ latest victory in the NFL Playoffs.

After his hometown team defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Divisional round of the postseason tournament, Em retweeted a post on X (formerly Twitter) of his 8 Mile character cruising with his crew.

The original tweet read: “Goff and the Lions pulling up to the NFC Championship game,” comparing Lions quarterback Jared Goff to Em’s battle rapper character B-Rabbit.

The rap legend then recirculated the image alongside his own caption: “Can’t believe I did it again!!! @Lions.”

Eminem was in person at Ford Field on Sunday to fire up the Lions crowd. During the game, a tweet from the rapper saying: “Let’s f****** go!!!!! Detroit @Lions” was shown on the stadium’s massive video board, before the Jumbotron camera cut to the man himself.

Em wasted no time amping up his fellow Lions devotees, getting up out of his seat and letting out a mighty roar while flexing like the Hulk and pounding his chest.

Marshall Mathers has been heavily invested in this Detroit Lions playoff run. The “Venom” rapper took to Instagram earlier this month to inform head coach Dan Campbell that he’ll just need a few things to help his beloved team beat the Bucs.

“Yo, Dan! I’m reporting!” he said in the video. “I’m gonna report, third quarter. I’m reporting, offensive line. Eligible receiver. I’ll be the quarterback. The entire line, offensive line […] and I will throw it to myself, and I will score a touchdown. In the third quarter.”

He continued: “Just give me a uniform. Or, at least, just, like, a helmet. I already have a helmet.”

“It’s not the one for football. It’s just a helmet,” he humorously clarified. Though the MC’s football career never took off, the Lions still managed to win the game.

The Detroit legend has been a steady force at Lions postseason games. Last week, he pulled up to Ford Field alongside Big Sean to cheer on the Lions as they squeaked out a 24-23 win against the Rams to give Detroit its first playoff victory since January 1992.

Slim Shady and Sean Don were photographed on the sideline pre-game in their Lions gear alongside fellow Detroit legends like former running back Barry Sanders and retired wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

“All these guys put MAJOR points on the board for Detroit .. Salute,” fellow Motor City native Royce Da 5’9” wrote on Instagram while reposting the photo.
