Fat Joe‘s has paid tribute to his son while continuing his efforts to raise awareness about neurodivergent children and the conditions they have to actively negotiate.
On Tuesday (April 2), the Terror Squad boss shared a photograph of the World Autism Awareness Day logo along with a throwback photo of his 33-year-old namesake, Joseph Jr.
“WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS DAY Joey this one’s for you [blue hearts emojis],” he wrote in the caption.

Back in June, the “Lean Back” hitmaker posted a photo of himself shirtless while holding Joseph Jr. to declare his “unconditional love” for his son.
50 Cent subsequently hopped in the comments section and praised his former foe by writing: “This the coolest picture you ever posted joe. On some real shit!”
Nick Cannon recently revealed that he also parents a child on the spectrum. He made the revelation on Instagram over World Autism Awareness Day this year while celebrating 2-year-old Zillion and his recent Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis (ASD).
In a joint Instagram post, he and co-parent Abby De La Rosa wrote: “Today our family recognizes World Autism Awareness Day which is beyond meaningful to us because our amazing 2 year old, Zillion, was recently diagnosed with ASD.”
The proud parents then listed a number of influential figures who were also on the spectrum, including Niko Telsa, Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and Michael Angelo, before adding: “Our beautiful boy experiences life in 4D and teaches us something new everyday! His love, strength, and brilliance light up every room he enters! We are blessed that God had placed such an amazing spirit under our guardianship and we have accepted this assignment wholeheartedly!
“On this World Autism Awareness Day, we extend our embrace to families worldwide, acknowledging shared challenges and championing understanding. Together, let’s create a world of acceptance and compassion,” the message concludes, extending their support to families navigating autism.”
The CDC defines the condition as a developmental disability stemming from variations in brain function. Individuals with ASD may exhibit unique behaviors, communication patterns, social interactions, and learning styles compared to others.
