Jennifer Lopez has canceled a handful of tour dates on her forthcoming This Is Me… Now Tour as ticket sales are being reported to be slower than expected.

According to a report from Variety published on Thursday (March 14), the Bronx native has axed seven dates thus far spanning August 20-31. This affects ticket-holders in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston.

The notice to ticket holders for the canceled dates simply reads, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.”

While 30 dates still remain, the publication reports that “large numbers” of tickets are still unsold for a lot of the shows. Sales being an issue for the canceled dates are only speculation, however.

Along with the tour, Jennifer Lopez also released a fictional biopic and a documentary all in support of her new album This Is Me…Now, which dropped in February.

HipHopDX‘s Will Schube called the project “formulaic.”

“As with any album that involves hordes of songwriters, A&Rs and producers, there are plenty of good ideas on here,” he wrote. “Most of them, though, sound like they could be sung by anyone. For all of the time, money, and energy J.Lo and her team put into the theatrical accompaniment to This is Me… Now, it would have behooved all involved to spend a little more time on the music that the film was meant to accompany.

This is Me… Now hears Jennifer Lopez constantly tell fans how great her love life is. She rarely bothers to explain why.”
