Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s controversial Rolling Loud performance saw a transgender person attacked in the mosh pit while they were on stage.

The transgender woman, named Blu Linares, has now said that she believes the attack was because of her gender.

Speaking to TMZ, Linares explained what led to the violent brawl: “We were all just enjoying the concert and this group of two guys – the crowd kept bumping into each other – and they thought I was doing it on purpose but they were not having it. It felt a little homophobic at some point so I feel like that’s what drove the whole situation but one thing led to another. They gashed my eyebrow with their ring and that’s how it all started.

“I feel like it was transphobic because of the things that were said to me, accusing me of doing stuff on purpose. They were trying to get me to look like the person that aggress [sic] the whole situation but they were the ones that attacked me first for basically no reason. Just because we were bumping into each other.”

She added: “It’s a given if you’re going to a festival, of course you’re going to be bumping into people around you but for some reason they were specifically getting angry at me.”

Linares also showed off their injuries from the fight including multiple lacerations to the face and scrapes and bruises on their arms.

Video footage of Linares fighting with a man in a mosh pit during West and Ty’s performance that went viral over the weekend shows blood pouring down the 22-year-old’s face.

Linares has said that she is not looking to press charges and that police did not get involved when the fight happened anyway.

West’s Rolling Loud show was also controversial for other reasons, mainly the fact that he and his Vultures collaborator performed without microphones, making the appearance closer to a listening party.

West and Ty Dolla $ign were allegedly paid $10 million for the performance which left a lot of fans unhappy as they and the festival were expecting a conventional live performance.
