Kodak Black has appeared to get back together with his ex-girlfriend just weeks after welcoming a child with a woman he called his fiancée.
The Florida native was previously engaged to fellow rapper Mellow Rackz in 2021, but after splitting they may be back together after Kodak posted pictures of her on his Instagram Stories.
One of the photos shows Yak and Rackz in a loving embrace with the caption: “You can’t tell me nothing… because I prayed for this love.”
Another showed the word “Bill” tattooed on Mellowz’s cheek, a reference to Kodak’s real name Bill Kahan Kapri.
The two appeared to announce their engagement in February 2021, with Rackz saying on Instagram that she had accepted the proposal while showing off the diamond ring that Kodak gave her.
Shortly after they announced the engagement, another woman came forward and said she was in a relationship Kodak.
The couple then seemed to go their separate ways as Kodak later began dating Maranda Johnson, with whom he shares two children.
Kodak referred to Johnson as his “fiancée” several times and was recently on hand to deliver their second child, a boy named Prince Kapri.
The “Super Gremlin” rapper spoke to TMZ about the arrival of the child, his fourth overall.
“I’m happy to be home with my family and my new son,” he said. “It was very special to help deliver a new soul into the world. I know he’s going to be a special person.”
Kodak Black referred to Johnson as his fiancée when announcing her pregnancy in December.
In a rambling livestream, he said: “They say you need a wife, I got one. My fiancée having a baby boy in two months. I’m trying to hit my quota, too!”
At the time, it was not known which woman Kodak was referring to as the rapper had publicly gifted rings to both Mellow Rackz and Maranda Johnson.
Kodak first appeared to put a ring on Johnson’s finger shortly before Christmas 2021, just months after getting engaged to Rackz.
In a clip of him giving her the ring, he said: “I appreciate you for being a vessel to my legacy … And you look so good tonight.”
The speech then took an aggressive turn as Yak said: “Man, listen I’d kill one of these n-ggas ’bout you, ya heard? I’d kill one of these hoes ’bout you. I’d chop a n-gga head off, burn his mama house down and throw his kids in the microwave, ya heard me?
“Even when we ain’t together, we together, ya heard me? And we locked in for life. I hope [the ring] fits.”
