Latto Upsets Ice Spice Fans Over ‘Lil Girl’ Comment Leave a comment

Latto has caught heat from Ice Spice fans over an online comment that many fans of the “Munch” rapper are calling suspect.

The ongoing drama was ratcheted up again on Saturday (February 17) after Ice launched “Think You The Shit (Fart)” billboards in Atlanta, Latto’s hometown. The “Sunday Service” rapper responded by Tweeting, “Didn’t hit tho.”

After fans claimed this was a shot at the Bronx rapper, Latto denied the allegation, though not before stirring up even more drama.

“This was about that old pic going viral not that lil girl thanks,” Latto wrote in a since-delete tweet captured by The Neighborhood Talk.

Ice Spice’s fans immediately got worked up over the MC being called “lil girl” and responded in kind.

“Who she calling a ‘lil gyal,’” one commenter wrote. Another added: “Wym lil girl cause it can’t be the girl who’s charting solo songs in the top 30.”

This renewed intensity in the rivalry comes after Latto flat-out denied that her latest banger is a diss track aimed at Ice Spice, despite what listeners might think they heard.

The ClayCo, Georgia representer took to X, formerly Twitter, to respond to Elliott Wilson’s critique of her new song.

The veteran journalist said that “Sunday Service” was a track full of “mid” disses, to which Latto replied, “Who tf ever said it was a diss??? Video at noon I’m finna go live yallllll.”

The decision from the “In Ha Mood” MC to bring billboards to Atlanta is likely in response to the “Big Energy” rapper’s decision to shoot her “Sunday Service” video in Ice’s hometown of the Bronx.

In an Instagram post from earlier this month promoting the new track, a video of a caravan of cars rolls through the Bronx, and the Atlanta native can be seen rapping along to the single.

Fans noticed Latto’s arrival in the BX, with her decision to shoot the visual in the NYC borough perceived by some as a slight against the “Princess Diana” hitmaker.

It seemed to be retaliatory, considering Ice confirmed that her single “Think U The Shit (Fart)” was aimed at Latto, confirming listeners’ suspicions.

On the track, she rapped: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up,” which appeared to be a thinly-veiled reference to Latto’s hit song “Put It On Da Floor.”
