Meek Mill has admitted he was left “confused” by Kanye West‘s past disses against him, suggesting there’s something “off” with the Chicago rap icon.
Meek took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday (March 11) to randomly share his thoughts on Yeezy’s disparaging comments about him from a few years ago.
He wrote: “Random but: I think Yeezy smart but be off a lil but because I bought like 17 pair of Yeezys since we been trading rap shots … and I listened to your music to get me through my bid you a super legend I was more confused of why you was going so hard to go at me in the beginning.”
Hours later, the “Dreams & Nightmares” MC sent out a second tweet sharing some first-person insight into rap beef.
“When you see us going at it it’s always rap beef we know each other personally and would never let it go to far!” he said. “It’s a bloody sport gotta be rough wit it.”

Meek was referencing comments made by Kanye West on Clubhouse in 2022 following the backlash to his “White Lives Matter” shirt.
The rapper and fashion designer suggested that the powers that be had rounded up a number of celebrities to call him out over the controversial garment.
However, the idea that Meek, who had previously criticized Kanye in public, was among this group of stars was hilarious to the G.O.O.D. Music founder.
“I go and put ‘White Lives Matter’ on a T-shirt and they’re like, ‘Oh, you know what? Let’s go get celebrities. Let’s go get Puff Daddy, let’s get Dave Chappelle, let’s go get Meek Mill.’ What made somebody think Meek Mills could say something to me?!” Ye said before laughing uncontrollably.
“No, this is the funniest thing of everything. Yo man, I’m about to start crying laughing. Somebody thought Meek Mills… sorry. No, I’m sorry. I’m not even gonna get to my joke.”
Even after Clubhouse host Wack 100 reminded him that Meek is a “gangsta,” Kanye struggled to contain his amusement.
“Naww, I’m literally in tears,” he continued before eventually regaining his composure. “OK, hold on… Whew… OK, that was not my joke but somehow that part was really funny to me.”
Just a few months before that, Kanye took another shot at the Philadelphia rapper during his ill-fated interview on Drink Champs.
Taking issue with Meek’s silence when the family of ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, “kidnapped” his daughter Chicago, he said: “All you fake hard n-ggas, fuck you! You can’t shoot nobody anyway and the reason you gotta talk is ’cause you did a deal you fucking fed.
“Part of the deal for you to be able to do all that [inaudible noises] and get out of jail is that you promised that you gonna go pull my coat card. Y’all n-ggas shut the fuck up about me.”
