Los Angeles, CA –

O.T. Genasis has apologized to Keyshia Cole for creating a comedic Crip remix of her classic hit “Love.”

Cole was clearly never a fan as O.T.’s song was removed from YouTube over a copyright claim and the R&B singer discussed the remix shortly after its release.

She said in 2019: “I would like for my classics to be left alone. Is that wrong as an artist to say? And then people hitting me up saying like, ‘Oh, I would never listen to Keyshia Cole’s song the same.’”

Though the two became embroiled in something of a feud, differences appear to have been settled as Cole brought the former G-Unit signee out at a recent concert in Los Angeles.

During the show, Genasis performed “Cut It” and his smash hit “Coco” before apologizing to Keyshia on stage for parodying her song.

“I wanna tell y’all, I apologize to you,” he said. “I wanna tell you I’m sorry and when I met this woman she is the sweetest. I just wanted to let you know here in front of everybody that I’m sorry.”

While O.T. was delivering his apology, Cole acknowledged that she had called him a “Ninja Turtle.”

The two then embraced in front of fans.

Keyshia Cole also used the performance to announce her eighth studio album and her first in seven years.

“I’m wanna say I appreciate you. If you ever bought an album,” she told the crowd before tearfully counting her past releases. “Album eight right now on the way. I wanna give a shout out to my mom Frankie. If you watched the reality show, if you watched her, I just wanna say thank you. You helped change my life. Thank you.”

Cole’s last album was 2017’s 11:11 Reset which reached a peak of number 37 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Though it has been a while since she has released an album, the Oakland native has kept busy with the release of her biopic Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story last year where she played herself.

Cole also appeared on the deluxe version of Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Friday 2 on the track “Love Me Enough” alongside Brandy.
