Sylvan LaCue has been dealt a huge blow after being diagnosed with cancer.

In a video shared on social media on Wednesday (April 3), the Miami rapper shared the tragic news with his followers, revealing he has lung cancer.

“It’s very hard for me to say this but about two days ago I was experiencing some phlegm and blood in my phlegm and so I went to the doctors to get it checked out,” LaCue said.

“They found some pulmonary nodules in my lungs. I got a test to go to a radiologist and the radiologist confirmed that I have pulmonary cancer.

“I’m not sure if it started there or if it originated from something else … but it’s looking like I have to go into treatment immediately.”

Sylvan continued by vowing to beat the disease: “I have no doubts that I’ll pull through this. I don’t know if I caught this early or not, but regardless, I know I’m going to be able to pull through this and I know everything is gonna be fine.”

He concluded his message by asking fans to “please help me support in this time and keep me in your prayers.”

The 33-year-old has also set up a GoFundMe seeking donations to help him fund his “medical bills and living expenses” whilst he receives cancer treatment.

He has so far received over $18,000 of his $250,000 goal.

LaCue’s unfortunate announcement was met with an outpouring of support and sympathy from fans and fellow rappers alike.

Dreamville rapper Bas commented on his Instagram post: “praying for u champ. Stay positive!” while Lupe Fiasco left a praying hands emoji.
