SZA left quite the impression on the residents of Sesame Streetduring her appearance, even leaving Cookie Monster in awe.
On Saturday (March 9), everyone’s favorite destroyer of desserts posted a clip to promote the “Snooze” singer’s appearance on the show.
In the video, Cookie Monster says: “Me so happy you here on Sesame Street!” before revealing some puppet letters that try to spell out “SZA,” but mistakenly end up reading “ZSA” instead.
“Cool word, but what’s it mean?” the TDE singer asked. Check out the full clip below.

SZA had been eyeing a Sesame Street appearance for a long, long time.
When it was announced that she would be stopping by the famous street, she took to social media to share the latest development in her career and shared a post from 2017 that read: “HOW DOES ONE GET ON SESAME STREET !?”
In a quote tweet, the 34-year-old revealed that she made it on the show seven years later with a photograph of her next to cast members on the set. In the caption, she wrote: “GODS TIMING !!! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND SAY THEM OUTLOUD !!NEVER GIVE UP !! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE I BELIEVE IN YOU !!”
On Instagram, she shared a clip next to an Elmo puppet, telling him: “I had the best time, Elmo. Thank you for having me — I can’t wait to come back!” The two then proceeded to share a hug.
The appearance with Big Bird, Ernie & Bert and friends wasn’t the only accomplishment SZA earned recently.
Earlier this month, the “Kill Bill” singer scored the Best International Artist honor at the BRIT Awards, beating out Taylor Swift for the prize, among others.
SZA unexpectedly took home the nod in the competitive category. Also in the running for “Best International Artist” were Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, Kylie Minogue, Afrobeats superstars Burna Boy and Asake, and Miley Cyrus — who took home the prize for “International Song” with her hit single “Flowers.”
Back in February, SZA received seven new gold and platinum certifications for songs released on 2022’s SOS album.
“Open Arms” featuring Travis Scott, “Seek & Destroy” and “Ghost In The Machine” featuring Phoebe Bridgers all reached platinum status for the first time (meaning each cut sold over 1,000,000 equivalent units), and “I Hate U” and “Snooze” went three and four times platinum respectively. Most notably, “Good Days” attained 6x platinum status.
Additionally, “Conceited” was certified gold, with 500,000 equivalent units sold.
