Tyrese has expressed his disbelief at the talent of a Cleveland artist who recently unveiled a lifelike wax figure of the late TakeOff.

The creator, who goes by Mr. Officials, first shared the video of the late Migos member being immortalized in wax on Monday (January 29) with a touching caption.

“May this sculpted creation serve as a living tribute to the memory of Takeoff,” he wrote. “Today you are recognized and Immortalized with The World’s First Takeoff wax figure. Share this with everyone you want to see takeoff this year!”

Upon seeing the clip, Tyrese was so blown away that he shared it to his page, writing, “This is so powerful and beautiful at the same time.” In his caption, he added: “Wow just wow…. @mr.officials.llc you sir are a true gift!!!!!”

People in the comments echoed similar sentiments, with many noting how other wax figures of Black entertainers have not come out nearly as well.

“This is who should hired to create all black figurine in the wax museum!! ALL OF THEM! God bless this man with the team!” one person wrote. Someone else added: “Yes black man. You did this so well. I pray this reaches the nesassary eyes so they can get you to reddo The Rocks wax figure…………this is genius.”

Another person said: “He don’t need a job at Madame Tussaud, he need his own Museum.”

Additional comments included: “This artist has a priceless skill,” and: “That’s the best wax figured I’ve seen in a long time most of them don’t look this accurate.”

In an example of the aforementioned poorly done wax figures, Nicki Minaj fans were enraged back in 2020 after Madame Tussauds Berlin unveiled their wax figure of the Queens rapper.

In 2017, a wax figure of Beyoncé was erected at Madame Tussauds New York and fans once again criticized the creation for being “too white.” Subsequently, the statue was moved shortly after its reveal due to “the styling and lighting of her figure.” A few days later, the statue was back up after some adjustments.

As for the late TakeOff, his father recently joined his mother in her civil lawsuit against the 810 Billiards & Bowlingthe Houston venue where the ex-Migos rapper was killed in November 2022.

AllHipHop spoke to an attorney, Brant J. Stogner, who claimed to be representing the late rapper’s dad, Kenneth Ball. According to the Houston-based lawyer, Ball joined the suit as an Intervenor, which is a term used to describe people or parties “who want to participate in a proceeding because they believe the proceeding, or its outcome, may affect their rights or duties,” per the Cornell University Legal Institute.

“[Kenneth Ball], the natural parent of [Takeoff], has suffered substantial pecuniary loss both in the past and in the future. Indeed, [Ball] has suffered past and future pecuniary loss, including funeral and burial expenses, psychological and psychiatric expenses, loss of advice, loss of counsel, loss of services, loss of care, loss of maintenance, and loss of support,” Stogner told the outlet, explaining why the late rapper (real name Kirshnick Ball)’s father had a statutory right to join the suit.

Ball and Takeoff’s mother, Titiana Davenport, are currently embroiled in a battle for their late son’s estate. As Takeoff died intestate (that is, without a will), his $26million estate will need to be divided between his next of kin, which would be his parents. The exact details of that division, however, have yet to be determined.
