Wu-Tang Clan have announced that they will be extending their concert series in Sin City with two more shows this fall.
According to a press release sent out on Monday (March 25), the group has added new dates to their residency following the overwhelming success of their debut run at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas.
“By popular demand, ‘Wu-Tang Clan: The Saga Continues…The Las Vegas Residency’ will return to the stage for back-to-back performances on Friday, September 27, 2024, and Saturday, September 28, 2024. Tickets for both performances go on sale to the public this Friday, March 29, 2024, at 10 a.m. PT,” the statement reads.
On Sunday (March 24), the Wu-Tang Clan concluded a captivating 7-week stint at the aforementnioned venue that kicked off in early February. Most notably, the final show featured a surprise appearance from Redman.
From timeless classics like “Protect Ya Neck” and “C.R.E.A.M.” to individual hits such as Raekwon‘s “Ice Cream” and Ghostface Killah‘s “Cherchez La Ghost,” the legendary crew delivered an unforgettable performance. Additionally, Young Dirty Bastard paid homage to his late father by performing renditions of several Ol’ Dirty Bastard classics.
The evening took a twist when Method Man began diving into his own catalogue after delivering the hook on “Ice Cream.”
The night before, he even stopped his performance of “All I Need” halfway before telling the crowd that he wanted to “get their energy up.”
As mentioned before, Redman took the stage solo on the concluding night of the residency and launched into his iconic verse from “Da Rockwilder” as his name lit up the screen behind him. Meth then joined him and treated the crowd to “Y.O.U.” before the duo performed their timeless anthem “How High.”
Returning to the stage with all but one member, the Wu-Tang Clan plus Young Dirty Bastard closed the evening with an epic rendition of “Triumph,” leaving the audience in awe.
