Meek Mill has made a very special appearance in a new commercial announcing the advent of Wrestlemania XL, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was one of the special guests in the clip.

The clip hit all social media outlets on Thursday (March 28), and also features wrestlers Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes. The Philadelphia rapper originally came to the attention of the worldwide wrestling organization when he posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday (March 25), wherein he tagged both the WWE and wrestler turned WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.

“@tripleh ain’t this what they been waiting for PHILLY WE JUST GETTING STARTED WWE X DC crack the code!” he wrote in the caption.

In response, Triple H posted the Wrestlemania video on X, formerly known as Twitter, and tagged Meek Mill in return. “A story of neon dreams… or faded nightmares. You ready for this, @MeekMill? #WrestleMania,” he wrote in the caption.

Hip Hop fans who aren’t interested in checking out Wrestlemania XL can check out Wale’s own WaleMania, which will be held in conjunction with the acclaimed wrestling event.

In a press release shared with Ringside News, the ex-MMG artist revealed that Connie Diamond, Nick Papz, and 3ohBlack are just a few of the many artists in the lineup.

The event, which is scheduled to take place on April 4, will also honor former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin.

“Bringing my friends together from the world of music and wrestling is something I truly look forward to doing every year leading up to Mania week,” Wale said, in a statement included in the press release. “This year is going to be the biggest one we’ve ever done and I’m looking forward to giving my fans and friends a unique experience.”

Back in 2022, Wale held the first WaleMania event since the pandemic. Before that, the last WaleMania was held in 2019.

The event was opened by The Ringer’s Masked Man Show Podcast, which is a professional wrestling recap show hosted by David Shoemaker and Kazeem Famuyide that features guests from the world of Hip Hop and professional wrestling.

It was also announced that Foot Locker was also dropping exclusive merch for the event that combined Wale’s love of both wrestling and sneaker culture.

“WaleMania has always been a passion of mine because it combines all of my loves into one place during a weekend that I always have the most fun,” Wale said in a statement at the time.

“I love doing this for fans of myself and my music as well as the fans of professional wrestling because at the end of the day, I’m one of you too. I love that WaleMania has become the unofficial welcome to the big weekend party so I’ve got a few things up my sleeve to make sure this one is unforgettable.”
